Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary

Hunt Hill is a nature preserve and learning center, open to all, dedicated to fostering the understanding, appreciation, and protection of the environment. Our facility boasts some of the most beautiful and unique habitats found in Wisconsin – bogs, old growth forests, meadow, and four glacial lakes.
In addition to our beautiful natural surrounds, we offer a variety of programs for visitors of all ages. Programs like Cakes at the Lake, Soup Lunch, and naturalist-led hikes can add more to your next visit. Local school groups, youth day camps, and evenings of canoeing are just a few additional programs we offer.

Northwood Technical College

Northwood Technical College is a public technical college with campuses in Ashland, New Richmond, Rice Lake and Superior, Wisconsin. There are also outreach centers in Balsam Lake, Hayward and Ladysmith and Shell Lake. The college offers more than 100 degrees, diplomas and certificates.

UW-Eau Claire – Barron County provides quality liberal arts general education that is accessible and affordable, prepares students for success and promotes lifelong learning, leadership, service and responsible citizenship. With an associate degree option, students here can get a quality education that will help in preparing for a career in the real world. General education courses for the freshman/sophomore years in preparation to earn the Associate of Arts and Sciences degree and for transfer to complete a bachelor’s degree program in a variety of academic fields.
