And the color meaning of indiGO is powerful, dignified, and conveys integrity, deep sincerity, service to humanity, great devotion, wisdom, and justice along with fairness. indiGO is a defender of people’s rights to the end.
indiGO is a non-profit agency empowering people with disabilities in Northwestern Wisconsin. As a consumer controlled organization, at least 51% of our staff and board are people with disabilities. indiGO staff provides information, training and support to people with disabilities in making informed decisions about disability related needs. All services are consumer controlled, each individual decides which services they wish to participate in while working with staff to establish goals and determine steps to meet those goals.
Namekagon Transit
Namekagon Transit was established in 1998 as a shuttle system for the Lac Courte Oreilles Casino. The LCO Casino remains the transfer hub for our deviated fixed route service, but we have expanded to meet the needs of Northwest Wisconsin. Namekagon Transit provides public transportation services in Sawyer, Washburn, Barron and Southern Bayfield Counties, and the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation. We offer mobility management services for transportation needs outside of our regular service areas.

Northwest Transportation Specialists provides non-emergency medical transportation throughout the state of Wisconsin. Our affiliation with Northwest Journey has given us the experience to specialize in the transportation of children and adolescents going to school and day treatment programs. Northwest Transportation has also partnered with Medical Transportation Management to provide additional transportation within communities across the state. Our goal is to provide consistent and reliable transportation and we train our drivers in customer service, client rights, and de-escalation to ensure they have the tools to provide the highest quality of service available.
